Advanced Radio Broadcasting Course


The Advanced Radio Broadcasting course runs over three consecutive Saturdays and is held in radio studios in Dublin city centre. Working with industry professionals, students will learn how to present and produce radio shows, news bulletins, studio recordings and podcasts to an advanced level. The course is a highly practical experience and is delivered by experienced, practising broadcasters to give students a detailed knowledge in the skills of radio broadcasting to advanced level.

The Advanced Radio Broadcasting course is aimed at those with knowledge and experience of radio broadcasting wishing to enhance their skills. The course provides practical, hands-on training to those wishing to learn advanced studio, voice-training and programme production techniques.

Our professional tutors give advanced, hands-one instruction on the skills you need to broadcast on FM, via the Internet or to produce podcasts. The course is aimed at people of all ages and is suitable for those keen to develop advanced radio broadcasting skills. A knowledge of and some experience in radio is necessary.  The course is commonly attended by those with a base level of knowledge of radio broadcasting who wish to develop to a professional level.

Tuition is provided over three Saturdays and covers advanced presentation skills, voice training, editing, news, script-writing and technical skills. Learn how radio works, how to record interviews and vox pops, identifying your audience, writing for radio and creating a showreel.
